Hey everybody, this is Mike Uhrlaub coming at you from the Flex Compound with another episode of Power Your Life. We have been talking about nutrients that can help relieve your joint pain and today I want to talk about the third ingredient in Joint Nutra Care, hyaluronic acid. But before we get into that I want to share with you a quick story about my family.

A couple of weeks ago it was Easter Sunday and my wife Shawna decided our dogs needed a special treat. Even though my kids are really too old for Easter baskets we still got the kids their own treat after church. My wife felt our dogs were being left out so she gave them their own ice cream cups. Both of my dogs absolutely loved it. It was so much fun to watch them try and eat the cold ice cream out of the cups. These were actual ice cream cups designed for dogs. As I watched the dogs gobble up their ice cream treats, it really got me thinking how important special treats are for all of us in general.

We all need the loving kindness that comes with giving and receiving a special treat. It tells that person you care and they matter. It shows you are thinking about them, they’re valued, and loved. Even the smallest gifts or treats can mean the world to somebody. This will strengthen your relationship with them and relationships are really what matter in life. None of us were ever designed to go through life alone. All of us need to feel love and cared for by others. We also need to give that love and care to others in return.

Just Imagine

Imagine a world where everyone cared for those around them. Where they showed love towards everybody and each other every day. Just how amazing would that be?

I challenge you today, to give someone an unexpected special gift or treat. Just show them you care and love them. One of the ways you can best be there for those who matter in your life is through your own selfcare. If you’re not keeping yourself in good health then you can’t fully give yourself to others. You can’t give what you don’t have.

Keeping your joints and spine healthy will keep you moving so you can better enjoy those special moments or treats with your friends and family. It’s really hard to do that when your joints and spine are painful, stiff, and weak. They keep you from being able to move like you want to.

Joint supplements are one of the keys to keeping your joints and spine healthy, free, and flexible without the pain.

Recap

So far, we have been talking about some of the key ingredients in Joint Nutra Care. We talked about collagen type two and natural eggshell membrane.

Today I want to talk about the third ingredient in Joint Nutra Care, hyaluronic acid. Say that 10 times really fast!

Hyaluronic acid is present in all connective tissue and is responsible for retaining moisture. Some of you are probably familiar with hyaluronic acid. They are putting it in a lot of skincare products because it’s very good for your skin. It prevents wrinkles and helps your skin maintain its elasticity by retaining the moisture in skin.

Another thing you may not know is hyaluronic acid improves the viscosity of the synovial fluid in joints. Synovial fluid is the lubricant of joints that reduces friction of the cartilage. It’s like lubricant between those two joint surfaces as they rub back and forth. The less friction there is on the joints then the less wear and tear; That’s what we mean by viscosity, the state of being thick, sticky, and semifluid in consistency, due to internal friction. You’ve probably heard of that word when thinking of your engine oil, the viscosity of your engine oil, right? Viscosity determines how much friction is or isn’t there. Hyaluronic acid is key for maintaining the fluid in those joints and makes this fluid work more effectively.

In Addition…

Not only does it work more effectively, hyaluronic acid prevents cartilage from breaking down. This is a process we call denaturing. It prevents that from happening by protecting the outer layer of cartilage. Inflammation of the joint lining, which we call synovium, is blocked. You can get a condition known as synovitis from wear and tear on the joints which becomes very painful. The inner joint lining becomes very irritated and inflamed.

The good news is hyaluronic acid helps prevent that from happening! It also increases the density of cartilage cells which we call chondrocytes. Promotes the metabolism of the joint lining thus helping to keep it happy and normalizes the synovial fluid (AKA joint fluid) and reduces sharp pain.

As our bodies age, the levels of hyaluronic acid actually drop. In some people the drop in levels of hyaluronic acid can be as much as 50%! Taking hyaluronic acid by pill form actually produces your body’s own production of it.

Nutrition Journal

Recently Nutrition Journal published an article showing the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid in the treatment of arthritis. This article was basically a review meaning they look at all of the other journal research out there and do a review of it. It was a review of 13 current research articles on the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid in treatment of joint pain. What they found out is just absolutely amazing. Most of these articles in here are really technical and difficult to so I’m not going to bore you with the details. The long and short of it is the oral intake (meaning the intake of hyaluronic acid by pill form):

Effectively decreased pain and improved the physical function during daily life. The physical function of the subjects was measured and proven to have gotten better with those taking hyaluronic acid.

It increased the joint range of motion and flexibility.

Reduced joint swelling which is huge because this is one of those hallmark signs of arthritic wear and tear. Not only that… They weren’t measuring the joint swelling by how the person perceived it. Ultrasound was used to confirm that the joint swelling had decreased. They were actually able to measure swelling in the joint through ultrasound. It showed statistically the swelling was reduced in the groups that were taking hyaluronic acid.

It improved the quality-of-life measures in the subjects. This was a surprising one… It showed improved muscle strength levels and lowered the inflammatory markers in the subject’s hyaluronic acid.

What Does All This Mean to You?

Well, what it means is this…… If your current joint supplement does not contain hyaluronic acid, then you need a new supplement. I implore you to take a look at the ingredients. See what is in there.

Not only that, but when hyaluronic acid was combined with an exercise program, its effectiveness was even stronger. We do know many people with joint or spine pain don’t know where to start. That’s exactly why we have created our back pain breakthrough session. This is for those who want to find a real fix to their joint or spine problems. You can find out more about our back pain breakthrough session by clicking HERE.

As always, I’m going to leave you guys with this thought-provoking quote from Frederick W. Robertson. “We win by tenderness. We conquer by forgiveness.”

Until next time. Power Your Life and keep moving forward.
